The weather gods’ decision to reward us for surviving last February’s snowpocalypse with some absolutely glorious weather this month has us thinking spring. And you know what that means: street sweeping season is nigh!

While we haven’t gotten the official word on what date the city’s Department of Public Works will officially begin sweeping this year, we have been noticing these pretty new signs popping up around town. (Despite the above sign stating no parking after March 1, sweeping didn’t start until March 22 last year.) One of the complaints we usually hear about sweeping is a lack of clear signage regarding where people are unable to park their cars; these signs do a much better job of letting parkers know which day is sweeping day.
