Sure, we kind of dumped on the overly simplistic five-question budget survey which was released by the Gray administration far too late in the process for it to actually be useful in shaping the budget. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t use it as a measure of public opinion! The results of the survey were released this afternoon, and as you can see from the graph above, most of the people who took it said they they’d be just fine with paying more taxes and fees if it helped to close the $322 million gap.

Gray must deliver his budget to the Council by April 1 and has promised to host a series of community meetings to discuss it. The Council will hold its budget deliberations between April 7 and May 6.
