Via.Oscar winner Kevin Spacey is in town today to deliver the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy to a Americans for the Arts’ annual Arts Advocacy Day. But before delivering the speech at the Kennedy Center this evening, Spacey stopped by the White House for a tour — and check out how he was getting around. Spacey posed in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on top of a Capital Bikeshare bicycle, joking on his Twitter account that his tour “had a very small carbon footprint.”
Spacey’s been involved with global warming activism in the past, so it’s hardly surprising to see him embrace bike sharing — but it’s still pretty neat that a Hollywood big shot isn’t above using Bikeshare to get around. One wonders if Mr. Spacey took advantage of the Pennsylvania Avenue bike lanes?
