The Nationals aren’t oblivious to the fact that a mid-May Monday night home game against the Pittsburgh Pirates probably won’t be a big draw. (After all, when the Nats visited Pittsburgh on a rainy night in late April, less than 3,000 people showed up.) But slashing the cost of tickets and food? That just might get a few more people through the turnstiles.

The Nats have announced that the May 16 home game against the Buccos is “$1 MONDAY,” in which seats in the LF/RF Corner (Field Level), LF/RF Mezzanine (Mezzanine Level) or Upper Infield Gallery (Upper Gallery Level) will set you back a buck. (Of course, each order also tacks on a 50 cent service charge and a $3.50 processing fee — so a pair of tickets will actually run you six bucks, all together. Still not too shabby.) In addition, hot dogs, peanuts, popcorn inside the stadium and even parking (in Lot HH) will also only cost a dollar next Monday night.

Of course, the deal on tickets is only good while supplies last. You can purchase your one-dollar tickets here.
