Back in March — you know, before all of the “second-tier” business — Spike Mendelsohn told the world that he had big plans to franchise out his Good Stuff Eatery concept with locations in Philadelphia, Chicago and a second location in the District to complement the original at 303 Pennsylvania Avenue SE. Well, looks like Spike decided to double-down in the Washington region — Washingtonian reports that Mendelsohn will open new Good Stuffs in both Georgetown and Crystal City next year.

The Crystal City location, on Crystal Drive, will reportedly open its doors in January; a lease has yet to be signed for the Georgetown location, but a member of the Good Stuff management tells Washingtonian that it will “definitely” be the third location. Mendelsohn’s original Eatery just turned three years old, and he launched a kosher food truck, Sixth and Rye, earlier this spring.
