Last August, 18-year-old Latisha Frazier was brutally killed and dismembered inside a residence on Trenton Place SE. Today, there’s some justice for her family: one of the six people accused in connection with Frazier’s death has pled guilty to the murder.
According to reports, 19-year-old Cynthia Proctor entered guilty pleas on charges of second-degree murder, kidnapping and conspiracy to tamper with evidence; police had alleged that Proctor was one of three women who beat Frazier at the behest of Johnnie Sweets, who believed Frazier owed him $900. Proctor also admitted to attempting to help dismember Frazier’s corpse.
Proctor will be sentenced in November and could spend the rest of her life in prison. The court is still not requiring the city to search for Frazier’s remains, which are believed to be sitting somewhere in a Richmond landfill.
