Adams Morgan Wild Nights: D.C. Police, joined by the Guardian Angels, stepped up patrols in Adams Morgan last weekend, making twice the number of arrests than on a typical weekend. Last Friday, police towed cars parked along 18th Street, which was part of MPD’s original plan. Last night MPD announced that police will no longer restrict parking along 18th Street. Councilmember Jim Graham’s staff says they’re waiting for an explanation as to why police abandoned the parking restrictions.

Butt Slasher: One man may be responsible for slashing at least five women on the butt, according to Fairfax County police. The attacks began in February and all the victims have been women in their late teens or early 20s at retail stores.

Carjacker: Jeremiah Juwley, 26, of Silver Spring, pleaded guilty Friday in D.C. Superior Court in connection with the carjacking of a Wilson High School teacher. He is currently serving a 10-year sentence for kidnapping and second degree assault charges related to the carjacking.

Abductor: An entire Fairfax family was abducted Thursday night. The suspect took the family for a ride in the family car to a nearby ATM where the father was ordered to withdraw money. All the victims were eventually released or escaped. The suspect is described as a black, 5’9″ male wearing a dark hat, baggy sweat pants and black shoes. Anyone with information should contact Fairfax County Police or Crime Solvers.

Murder Charge: Donald Dixon, the 50-year-old live-in boyfriend of Vicki Lee Griffin, 62, who was found dead on her balcony in Temple Hills Thursday morning, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
