Violent flash mobs! What to do about them? Well, if you’re the Metropolitan Police Department, your reaction to a recent incident in which a Germantown 7-Eleven was ransacked by teenagers in a seemingly instantaneous and controlled swoop, you take the diplomatic route, “monitoring what is happening in other cities and discussing ways to combat flash-mob violence if it happens” in the District. If you’re really creative, you might seek to harness the potential in the positive energy of such gatherings, like New York’s Genesee County is planning to do.

But if you’re Examiner editorial page columnist Gregory Kane, your solution is a little more extreme:

Here’s what else I hope: that the black flash mobs will run into a white or group of whites who take seriously the Second Amendment and their right to carry.

Yeah, I’m sure that’ll settle things down.
