UPDATE: Two suspects in the robbery remain at large, but police have confirmed that the man who was shot and transported to the Washington Hospital Center was a third suspect. Police have also confirmed that an armored car parked in front of the pharmacy was the target of the attempted robbery.
ORIGINAL POST: A large number of D.C. police and emergency personnel have gathered outside the CVS at 6514 Georgia Avenue NW in Brightwood, the result of an attempted robbery which turned violent. According to preliminary reports from the scene, at least one of the individuals suspected to be involved with the robbery was hit by a bullet from an unidentified guard’s gun and transported to Washington Hospital Center. It’s also unclear at this point what the exact target of the crime was, but there was an armored car in front of the drug store at the time of the incident.
