D.C. police have ramped up efforts to find two suspects who they believe were involved in the murder of 22-year-old Demetrius Thompson on a Metrobus on shortly after midnight on Thursday, releasing footage of the two suspects as they boarded the bus.

Thompson was shot and killed when the W4 bus he was riding stopped at 2125 Alabama Avenue SE around 12:08 a.m. on October 20. A group of men reportedly shot Thompson in the face on the bus, then fled. Thompson was apparently able to get off the bus, but quickly collapsed. Thompson leaves behind two young children; his family and community are understandably still in shock over the cold-blooded killing.

Police, who are still searching for a motive in the shooting, are asking anyone who recognizes the men caught on tape to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIME (1-888-919-2746). They are also offering a reward of up to $25,000 in exchange for information which leads to a conviction in connection to the homicide.
