Via Greater Greater Washington, Twitter user @nikki_d caught Councilmember Vincent Orange (D-At Large) parking his white Cadillac SUV in the 15th Street NW bike lane on New Year’s Day. To be fair, Orange is neither the first person to park his car in a bike lane, nor the first of his colleagues to creatively park their cars wherever they so please.

Had he been ticketed for the offense, Orange could have been on the hook for $250. But since parking enforcement was likely light yesterday — if existent at all — and Orange could have invoked the “Official Business” exemption to parking laws the D.C. Council enjoys, he probably got away scot-free.
