In a recent post, we found that our local elected officials are pretty good with using Twitter.

Well, most of them. Councilmember Phil Mendelson (D-At Large) remains stubbornly opposed to using Twitter—he’s the only D.C. legislator not on it—opting only to occasionally post messages on his Facebook page. And that’s where he took to today to inform his 1,108 friends that a spoof Twitter account opened in his name isn’t actually him.

That’s too bad, really, because in the grand-scheme of our second-tier spoof Twitter accounts, @CMMendo showed some moments of potential.
