It’s been 15 years to the day since Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls, aka the Notorious B.I.G. was slain in a still-unsolved shooting in Los Angeles. Biggie, who would be nearly 40 were he still alive today, is being remembered far and wide.

Including by the AARP. Yes, the organization that sends your parents mailers chock full of coupons for discounted medical devices and Betty White-branded membership forms, longs for the days when the great MC dominated the scene.

Amazing.

In case your parents or grandparents have no idea who Biggie was, Brightest Young Things has a Spotify playlist of Big Poppa’s best work to mark this sad anniversary.
