It’s been just over two months since former D.C. Council Chair Kwame “Karma” Brown pleaded guilty to bank fraud and campaign finance violations and resigned. Since then, he went on a family vacation and has largely remained quiet, awaiting his sentencing in September.

But this week has seemed like something of a coming home party for Brown. As the City Paper reported, a local law firm announced that Brown will be a featured speaker during a lecture on local contracting. And just yesterday Brown returned to Twitter—he had been silent since June 17—where he posted an Instagram image of an interesting quote:

KARMA. No need for revenge. Just sit back and wait. Those who hurt you will eventually screw up themselves & if you’re lucky, God will let you watch.

Interesting phrase for a comeback, isn’t it?
