Can we get our electricity from you?

There have been plenty of polls saying that Pepco customers were less than impressed with the company’s response to the June 29 derecho and the many power outages it caused. According to a new poll, reports WTOP, more Pepco customers would bail on the company than customers of other regional utilities:

While the majority of utility customers throughout the region say that, if given a choice, they would stay with their current electricity provider, 42 percent of Pepco customers say they would select a different provider if given the option. That’s compared to 29 percent of BGE customers and just 8 percent of Dominion customers who said they would switch.

The overall satisfaction that Pepco customers felt with the company’s service also trailed behind its two regional competitors, with Pepco’s 75 percent being bested by Dominion Virginia Power’s 98 percent and BGE’s 88 percent.
