As we recently wrote, cyclists have been complaining of drivers pulling illegal U-turns through the Pennsylvania Avenue bike lanes.

Late this week D.C. responded, putting up signs informing drivers that the practice is verboten and sending out police to ticket violators. But just as good intentions are sometimes derailed by questionable implementation, yesterday local shop Bicycle Space tweeted out a picture of the “No U-Turn” sign—and it’s in the middle of the bike lanes.

To be fair, there’s not really anywhere else to put the signs, and cyclists are probably just happy that the signs are there to begin with.
