>> One of electronic music’s most significant figures, Carl Craig is a Detroiter specializing in tech house. He’ll be at the U Street Music Hall for a six-hour set tonight as a part of “Red Fridays”. $10. 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> Once again, DJ Dredd brings his “1958” party to the Rock and Roll Hotel‘s confines. As you might expect, there’s a Halloween theme for this celebration of Prince, Michael Jackson and Madonna. $13. 9 p.m.

>> Occupying its usual 4th Friday of the month at Liv is the “Axel F.” party hosted by DJs Jahsonic, Stylus and Adrian Loving. In keeping with the season and “Return to the Emerald City” subtitle, expect some thematic dress as ’80s lazer boogie jams et al. are celebrated. $5. 10 p.m.

Monday:
>> Locally-based hip-hop band All The Best Kids headlines a show at DC9 where Uptown XO and Bourne of Ash will also be on hand. $8. 9 p.m.
