In the grand scheme of musical collaborations, this might seems a little odd—but it also makes perfect sense. D.C.-based rapper Wale is teaming up with Jerry Seinfeld on—what else?—an album about nothing, reports Vulture:

Wale is making the jump from Seinfeld-inspired mixtapes to albums featuring actual Jerry Seinfeld. Says Jerry (live from the studio), “[Wale] wanted me to do something with him. I didn’t understand it, but he did.” And since Wale is apparently Jessica Seinfeld’s favorite rapper, her husband said yes. “I do words.” Not wrong, technically.

This refers to Wale’s Mixtape About Nothing, released in 2008, which sampled heavily from episodes of Seinfeld. Seinfeld explains the partnership in his own words in the video below.
