Josh Duggar, the eldest child of the very large, very religious reality television-famous Duggar family, will move to the D.C. area later this month.

Duggar will become the executive director of FRC Action, the lobbying arm of the very conservative Family Research Council, which is designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The announcement was made last night on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins (the organization’s president) and picked up by Washington City Paper.

The TLC reality show star, who campaigned for Rick Santorum during the 2012 election, confirmed the announcement on Twitter.

Josh Duggar is the eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 children: Josh, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James Andrew, Justin, Jackson, Johannah Faith, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace Makiya and Josie Brooklyn. The family has been featured on TLC since their first special, 14 Children and Pregnant Again, aired in 2004. The show’s title has ticked upward steadily as the Duggar clan has grown; it is now titled 19 Kids and Counting.

The Duggars are fundamentalist Christians who do not believe in using birth control. (They also not dance or kiss before marriage.) Josh and his wife Anna also subscribe to this idea, and recently welcomed their third child.
