The Fannie Mae building on Wisconsin Avenue NW was on high alert today after a suspicious white powder was found in a letter.

D.C. Fire and EMS sent a hazmat team out to the building this morning to investigate “a letter containing an unidentifiable substance,” according to NBC4. But as it turns out, the powder was actually sand in an invitation to a luau party, WUSA reports.

Maybe the employee who reported it needs a vacation at a nearby beach?
