On Sunday, Howl to the Chief hosted its annual dog costume contest and parade in Lincoln Park.
The event kicked off with a parade of adoptable dogs from Rural Dog Rescue, which is run by Howl to the Chief’s Kim Hawkins. (You can see the dogs here.) Then neighborhood dogs gathered for a costume contest judged, in part, by Ward 6 Council candidate Charles Allen. Check out the adoptable dogs and competitors in a gallery above.
Disclosure: I foster dogs through Rural Dog Rescue. The pumpkin is my foster dog.
