Those who wrote “drink less” on their list of New Year’s resolutions better stop reading now. 3 Stars Brewery has announced they’re launching an exclusive beer club in 2014.
DCBeer reports that the club—called the Illuminati Reserve Society—will begin accepting registration on January 2 at 11 a.m. at a cost of $100. But what does that money actually get you? Well, a lot of cool beer-related goodies, if you’re a craft brew aficionado. With that flat fee, 3 Stars will provide different benefits throughout the year, most notably, a variety of rare and one-off brews.
With membership to the Illuminati Reserve Society, members will get five different limited release beers throughout the year, 10 percent off purchases in the D.C. Homebrew Shop, access to and discounts for growler fills, access to presale tickets for special events, and the “first right of refusal to renew membership for 2015.”
As for the beers you’ll get access to for growler fills, DCBeer says that “allocations will vary based on 3 Stars’ production levels,” but the IRS members will be alerted about the brewery’s rare beers before the public does.
“The Illuminati Reserve Society is ideal for people who want to ensure they can get access to our specialty and one off releases,” a release states. “The $100 membership pays for itself as it easily covers the cost of the 5 special releases and any other exclusive merchandise that may be offered to members in 2014.”
Sounds like a pretty good deal for fans of D.C.’s burgeoning craft beer scene.
