When spring returns, and we’re promised it will, baseball will come with it. While an old favorite will return to Nationals Park, a new local food option will also be available this year. Plus: More local beer!

The Washington National Opera’s Opera in the Outfield will return on May 3 with a simulcast performance of The Magic Flute, which features one of the most upbeat songs about a man dressed as a bird considering suicide of all time. Gates open at 5 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m.

There’s also food news to report. Mike Isabella will open a location of his sandwich place G inside the ballpark, offering four rotating selections plus a special. The Nationals will also add two more District Draft carts this year, Washington Business Journal reports, with the amount of craft beer sold expected to increase by 50 percent.
