Put another one on the board: Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley says it’s “probably time” for the Washington football team to change their name.

Yesterday, O’Malley appeared on Fusion TV for Jorge Ramos’ show America, where he, like Ramos’s previous guest Hillary Clinton, said it’s “probably time” for the Washington football team to change their name. “We hope that in every generation we become more understanding of one another, more inclusive as a people, and more respectful of the dignity of every individual and every culture, so I think it probably is time for the [Washington football team] to change their name,” O’Malley said to Ramos.

Although their name bears “Washington,” the team plays in Landover, Md. at FedEx Field, O’Malley’s presiding state. But don’t expect Snyder to be swayed by the growing amount of politicians. Yesterday, he spoke at length about the controversy with former Washington football team player Chris Cooley and, well, his position doesn’t seem to have moved an inch.
