Update: And now things get even more interesting: Comedian and Archer voice actor H. Jon Benjamin has started his own Kickstarter campaign to raise $15,000 to introduce Kenny Loggins before his show in Sanchez’s living room. Here’s what Benjamin says:
If Erick Sanchez can get Kenny Loggins to play his condo for $30,000, I am asking for half that to introduce him.
I will fly to DC and make a two minute caustic introduction taking that entire condo with me straight to the Danger Zone.
If Kenny Loggins can do it, so can I. Don’t let K-Log play this living room without being properly introduced. Let’s make this dream an even wetter dream!

One D.C. man’s dreams of getting Kenny Loggins to play a concert in his living room are starting to come true.
No more than three days ago, 28-year-old communications specialist Erick Sanchez, who started a Kickstarter to raise $30,000 to get noted ’70s/’80s pop star Kenny Loggins to play his living room, was still $12,000 short of his goal. But thanks to the power of the Internet and Jimmy Kimmel, he’s reached his goal.
In an email to DCist, Sanchez says that he “[hasn’t] yet heard from Loggins personally, but obviously he’s agreed to play the performance as I’ve hit the funding goal.” He says that once the Kickstarter closes, he’ll begin “[transitioning] to the planning phase where we’ll talk dates and logistics.” Sanchez also says he’ll be releasing ten more seats for the living room performance as well as “another exciting turn that [he] can’t yet discuss.”
As for any money raised over $30,000? That’s going to charity.
