According to multiple outlets, the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq have reportedly beheaded another American journalist and released the video online.

The journalist, Steven Sotloff, has written for Time, Foreign Policy, The National Interest, and others, and was reported missing in August of 2013. According to the Post, the video of Sotloff was “obtained by the SITE Intelligence Group, an organization that tracks the online postings of Islamist militant groups.” The Post also reports that Sotloff’s mother released a video recently pleading with the Islamic State to let her son go.

Last month, American journalist James Foley was beheaded on camera by an Islamic State militant and, at the end of the video, another militant brought in Sotloff and threatened to kill him if President Barack Obama didn’t stop airstrikes against the group.

The video also shows another hostage, who was identified as David Cawthorne Haines, a Briton, named as the next person to be executed if Obama doesn’t stop attacks on the Islamic State.
