If you’re a fan of, say, Chuck Brown or Ian MacKaye and ever had the thought “man, I really wish someone would honor their greatness with a signature burger,” well, that’s weird. But if you did ever wish that, then today is your lucky day, I guess, because Satellite Room announced a new burger menu that honors some famous Washingtonians, among other random famous people.

The menu, which features burgers honoring local legends like Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, Go-Go legend Chuck Brown, Fugazi/Minor Threat frontman Ian MacKaye, Trouble Funk’s Big Tony and Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins along with Joan Jett (who spent time as a teem in Rockville, Md) and Donald Byrd (who taught at Howard for a time), and, for some reason Tia Carrere and, uh, Kenny G.

Ian MacKaye’s signature burger, which is a banh mi-inspired burger, features a beef patty with with chicken liver mousse, pickled daikon and carrot, cilantro aioli, and the option to add an egg for $1. Of course, this is ironic considering MacKaye is a noted vegan. In an email to the Post, MacKaye writes that he’s never even heard of Satellite Room, but “[hopes] that regardless if it bears my name or someone else’s, that they have at least one vegan option!”

They don’t, but they do have a vegetarian option; a black bean patty for $1 extra.

The new burger menu debuts on September 5 and you can see the full descriptions below, courtesy the Post:
