Authorities are currently searching for an arrestee who escaped from the Psychiatric Institute of Washington this morning.

Kenneth Clayton, who was charged with simple assault, assault on a police officer, threats, possession of unregistered ammunition, and being a fugitive from justice, escaped from the PIW, located at 4228 Wisconsin Avenue NW, at approximately 10:40 a.m. this morning.

According to a release, “representatives from PIW and District agencies are investigating the circumstances surrounding this event.” There’s currently an outstanding warrant for Clayton’s arrest and authorities are trying to find him. He’s described as a black male, 6’2″, 208 lbs., medium-to-dark complexion, tattoos on both forearms, bald, and was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and blue or black pants.

Anyone with information on Clayton’s whereabouts, or anyone that’s seen him, should call 911.
