And so the race for the new Wards 4 and 8 Councilmembers is on. Yesterday was the deadline for all potential candidates to submit the requisite 500 ballot signatures to become official candidates, and here’s who’s left.

In the Ward 4 Council race, the seat previously held by Mayor Muriel Bowser, there’s a whopping 15 candidates:
