Valentine’s Day is an adorable little Hallmark holiday that brings with it great potential for a fun, romantic night out. However, for a chunk of the overwhelming percentage of singletons in D.C. it could easily devolve into a night of drinking alone, listening to 69 Love Songs in its entirety and wondering where their life has gone horribly, horribly wrong.

That’s probably not the market that Ultra and Bloompop intend to tap for their Valentine’s Day deal, but sometimes it’s just better to get the liquor and flowers delivered directly to your door. Let’s face it, some people are just bad liars and aren’t convincing anyone that the booze and flowers they’re buying are “for their partner.” Sure they are.

Starting tomorrow, online (and ABRA approved) liquor delivery service Ultra will team up with flower ordering service Bloompop for a special Valentine’s week delivery deal. Up through Saturday, if you go to Ultra’s website and punch in a D.C. zip code, there will be a “Flowers” option that you can add to your delivery. You can also save $10 by putting the discount code CUPID into your flower and alcohol purchases.

So bottoms up, D.C., because this is a sweet and thoughtful offer and if you’re taking advantage of it, you’re probably drinking alone or you’re sending booze and flowers to somebody that is. Maybe.
