They grow up so fast, don’t they? This weekend, the National Zoo’s giant panda cub Bao Bao hit a milestone and officially moved out of her mom’s house.

According to the Zoo, Bao Bao—the little black-and-white fur-ball who loves to tumble and people have Very Strong Opinions about—is now fully weaned and no longer living with her mother, Mei Xiang.

You may think that Bao Bao is a little young to be living on her own, but that’s not the case: In the wild, panda cubs live independently from their parents around this age. Over the past few weeks, Zoo staff have been working to wean them apart from each other, having them spend more than six hours apart each day to see how they’d react. This weekend, they finally spent the night apart from each other and, after keepers determined that neither was anxious while in separate enclosures, finally moved Bao Bao into a new home permanently.

According to a statement from the Zoo, their keepers “will be nostalgic for the days when Mei and Bao Bao spent all of their time together, but they are very happy and excited for Bao Bao to continue to grow and thrive on her own.” Aren’t we all?

No word from the Zoo as to whether Bao Bao has found a job yet, but we know that Mei Xiang isn’t paying her rent, so she must be doing alright.
