The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 19-year-old Marcus King of NW D.C. in connection to the homicide of Shlonsky, who was shot and killed by a stray bullet during a shoot out in the 1800 block of 7th Street NW Saturday afternoon.
Shlonsky was getting out of a cab to go to a friend’s birthday party when a stray bullet from gunfire between two groups of people on opposing sidewalks struck him in the back. Earlier this week, the MPD released a video depicting six people and two vehicles they said were “of interest” in Shlonsky’s homicide. One of the vehicles, a stolen burgundy Chrysler 300 was later recovered, riddled with bullet holes.
Police say King is wanted for a Second Degree Murder While Armed charge. They’re asking anyone with information about King’s whereabouts to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send an anonymous tip to 50411.
