D.C. police are investigating four homicides that occurred this weekend, pushing the homicide total to 115 so far this year, up nearly 50 percent from last year.

The first homicide occurred in the 1800 block of Harvard Street NW on Friday at approximately 7:45 p.m. Police responded to reports of a shooting and when they arrived, they found an adult male, 25 year-old Charles Antonio Welch of Fort Washington, Md., suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Saturday, members of the Seventh District responded to the sound of gunshots in the area and, while canvassing the area, found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 3200 block of 28th Street SE at about 1:07 a.m. The man, 39-year-old Marcellus Green of Southeast, was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Not long after police found Green, they arrested two suspects—22-year-olds Steven Pugh and Maricco Knight—in connection with Green’s murder. They were both charged with First Degree Murder While Armed.

Later that morning, at approximately 4:04 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE. When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Deontray Ingram of Southeast D.C. suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Last night, at about 8:18 p.m., police responded to the sounds of gunshots around the unit block of M Street NW. After canvassing the area, they found a man—identified as 28-year-old Kuron Calleo of Northeast—suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.

In all the cases except the shooting on 28th Street SE, police are still searching for suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or send an anonymous tip to 50411.
