About 20 minutes after Metro returned to normal scheduled service on the Green Line (due to a track problem at the Waterfront station), things went south again.
Trains are skipping the Anacostia Metro station after smoke was reported in the mechanical room, according to WMATA. Shuttle buses will serve Congress Heights and Navy Yard, the transit agency said, though travelers might want to consider the bus. Everyone else on the Green Line: expect delays
