This video of a Metro Police Department officer in a dance-off with a D.C. resident shows that the daily grind can take a number of forms.

Dance-off participant Adore Liyah posted the video to Facebook with the caption, “So basically I was trynna get to this girl but the police told me to go home so we made this deal if i win u leave but if u win I step andddddd she step ?✌”

Deputy Mayor for Safety and Justice Kevin Donahue tweeted out the video, noting, “While I’m not an expert on the dance moves in this video, this is great example of community policing by MPD.”

MPD Public Information Officer Lieutenant Sean Conboy confirmed to DCist that the video shows an MPD officer, but declined further comment.
