Update: According to Metro, Blue Line train service has been restored, but “delays continue in both directions due to earlier fire dept activity.”

Part of the Blue Line’s train service has been suspended, according to Metro spokesperson Sherri Ly. Passengers can no longer ride between Largo and Morgan Boulevard stations “due to fire department activity at Morgan Boulevard station.”

The fire department is currently investigating the scene after receiving a report of smoke at Morgan Boulevard around 1:30 p.m. today, Ly said. And shuttles are running for passengers.

The best way to keep up with the issue is through WMATA’s Metro rail info Twitter account, Ly said.

Due to weather conditions, the Silver Line is out of service today.
