Nearly a year to the date of the opening of Maketto, D.C. chef Erik Bruner-Yang will helm another restaurant in the District.
As first reported by Eater, Bruner-Yang and Baltimore-based Spike Gjerde will both operate restaurants at The Line—the new Adams Morgan hotel slated to open next year.
According to Eater, Bruner-Yang and James Beard Award-winning Gjerde have collaborated in the past on pop-ups in Baltimore.
It’s a busy day for Bruner-Yang, who also announced today he is stepping down as executive chef at Toki Underground and is working with Shake Shack on a fried chicken sandwich.
The Line, currently under construction at 1780 Columbia Road NW, is being developed by the Sydell Group.
