Metrorail track work continues this weekend with service adjustments on five of six lines. The fun on the Red Line actually starts early. Today and tomorrow, Red Line trains will be single tracking between Medical Center and Van Ness stations. This is happening on both days from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and again today at 8 p.m. until closing and tomorrow at 10 p.m. until closing.

Also tonight, Metro is staying open after midnight to accommodate fans going to the Washington Capitals vs. Pittsburgh Penguins playoff game.

For the rest of the weekend, Red Line trains will run every 16-29 minutes. Plus, Orange, Silver, and Blue Line trains will run every 18 minutes, while Yellow Line trains will operate every 18 minutes between Huntington and Mt. Vernon Sq only. The sole maintenance-free line this weekend is the Green Line.
