Of course, the president has excellent taste in music. If the line-up to his star-studded birthday bash or the secret Prince and Stevie Wonder White House show didn’t convince you, well, you can probably stop here.
But for the rest of the world, there’s new evidence that Obama could make for an excellent DJ in his post-presidency career. While on vacation in Martha’s Vineyard, he dropped his second set of summer playlists—one for day, one for night—on Spotify. And it starts off right, with D.C.’s own Wale.
In addition to classics from the likes of Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone, the lineup is heavy on artists who have performed for the Obamas, including Common, Esperanza Spalding, and Janelle Monae (who is apparently in possession of a secret video of Obama trying to keep up with her and Usher on the dance floor).
