Update 11/17: Investigators with D.C. Fire and EMS believe that the fire was caused by improper fueling of the on-site generator. “There was no fault with the equipment of the truck. It was up on all current inspections,” according to D.C. Fire spokesman Doug Buchanan

A food truck caught fire on George Washington University’s Foggy Bottom campus this afternoon, injuring three people.
The House of Falafel truck caught fire on H Street NW between 21st and 22nd streets. D.C. Fire and EMS said that three employees were transported to the hospital with varying levels of burn injuries.
People reported seeing the plumes of smoke across the river in Virginia. And a video posted by the D.C. fire department showed the extent of the damage, with the interior of the truck completely scorched.
