National Zoo officials are searching for a 25-pound bobcat that escaped her enclosure this morning.

Zoo spokesperson Annalisa Meyer told DCist that Ollie was counted among other animals around 7:30 a.m, but at her 10:40 a.m. feeding officials noticed that she was missing.

“She’s likely to return for food and shelter,” says Meyer.

In the meantime, staff began immediately searching for Ollie, took steps to entice her back to her enclosure, and shut down the bobcat exhibit at the zoo, Meyers says. She adds that bobcats are not known to be aggressive to humans and zoo guests are not in danger. However, no one should approach her if spotted. Instead, people should call 202-633-7362.

Ollie’s escape comes as officials at the Virginia Zoo continue their hunt for a red panda that went missing last week in Norfolk.
