A couple Washingtonians tweeted photos this morning of Vice President Mike Pence buying flowers at Whole Foods. He was shopping at the grocer’s Glover Park location, according to a tweet by Patrick Gavin.

C-Span host Greta Brawner said that her husband spotted the vice president “shopping for his Valentine.” She chose to romanticize the scene, saying she hopes that her husband “follows the Veep’s lead.”

But others preferred to link Pence’s shopping excursion to his politics, among other things.
