The District made a strong showing among the semifinalists, in February, with multiple nominees in categories like Best New Restaurant, Outstanding Chef Mid-Atlantic, Outstanding Service, and others.
While field has narrowed across the board since then, D.C. still has several big names in the running, including the two-Michelin star Pineapple & Pearls, Bad Saint, and The Washington Post. Here the full list of nominees across the country. Winners will be announced on May 1.

In addition to the above nominees, restauranteur Nora Pouillon has been nominated for the foundation’s 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award. In 1999, Pouillon’s Restaurant Nora became the country’s first certified organic restaurant. She announced last October that she would sell the restaurant to someone of equal passion.
