This weekend on Metrorail, Greenbelt station will still be closed due to SafeTrack Surge 14, but Green Line service between Branch Avenue and College Park will run at regular weekend intervals.

To accommodate for the surge, Yellow Line trains will run from Huntington to Mount Vernon Square rather than Fort Totten. Passengers will have to use Green Line trains to complete their trips.

Orange and Blue Lines will run every 20 minutes as crews install communication cables along tunnel walls. Silver Line trains will also run every 20 minutes, but only between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston stations—riders who need other stops will have to transfer to the Orange and Blue Lines.

And Red Line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.

Red Line

Note: Trains will single track between Silver Spring and Forest Glen to allow for preventive maintenance. This is not expected to cause delays.

Orange Line

Trains every 20 minutes | 7:00 a.m. Saturday until closing Sunday

Trains will single track between Federal Triangle & Foggy Bottom to allow for communication cable installation along the tunnel walls for cell phone coverage.

Silver Line

Trains every 20 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only | 7:00 a.m. Saturday until closing Sunday

Silver Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only. Customers traveling to/from other stations should use Orange and/or Blue line trains to complete their trip. At Ballston, transfer between Silver and Orange line trains on the same platform.

Blue Line

Trains every 20 minutes | 7:00 a.m. Saturday until closing Sunday
