We’re officially living in a post-SafeTrack world. But track work persists, and it’s going to cause some lengthy wait times across much of the Metrorail system this weekend.

The Orange, Silver, Blue, and Yellow line trains will each operate every 26 minutes, while there will be 18-minute waits on the Green line and 9-18 minute headways on the Red line. Both the Silver and Yellow lines will only operate on parts of the lines.

The good news is that there is no track work on Fourth of July, and the system is staying open later half an hour, until midnight, than regular hours under the new schedule.

A reminder about the changes: From Monday through Thursday, the system now runs from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. It is open on Fridays from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. On Sundays, Metro runs from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Fare hikes also went into effect. It now costs a minimum of $2.25 to ride Metrorail during peak hours and a minimum of $2 for off-peak trips. Bus fares have risen from $1.75 to $2 (weekly bus passes will stay at the current price of $17.50, though).

Here’s what the weekend is looking like in terms of track work:
