There will be Red and Silver Line disruptions on Metrorail this weekend, but the rest of the transit system is slated to be free of scheduled delays.
Red Line riders will have to wait 15 minutes, as opposed to 12 minutes, for trains on Saturday and Sunday as maintenance crews work on a leak mitigation project. And Silver Line trains will only run between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballson stations, so riders may have to catch Orange or Blue Line trains to complete their trips.
On Sunday, the transit system is opening at 6 a.m.—two hours earlier—for the Marine Corps Marathon.
There are no scheduled delays on the Blue, Yellow, Green, and Orange Lines this weekend.
