For the cost of less than a first-class stamp you can get an ice cream cone tonight at Baskin Robbins. Their annual promotion of 31 cent cones runs this evening from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
It's Baskin Robbins 31 Cent Cone Night
Ice Creampocalypse @ Baskin Robbins
Too bad it's not hot and sunny still today... tonight is 31 Cent Scoop Night at your local Baskin Robbins, from 5 to 10 p.m. All proceeds go to the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program, which helps firefighters teach kids about fire safety and inspires kids to become firefighters in the future (who doesn't love sounding the siren?). Individuals are limited to three 31 cent scoops rather than the 10 from last year.
Eating Your Way to Election Day
This election season, the electorate is hungry for change. Or perhaps we’re just hungry. As the presidential campaign enters its home stretch, area bars and restaurants are rolling out election-themed eats and drinks. Around town you can eat a sushi roll or hamburger that represents your favorite candidate; drink a martini that represents your true political color; watch a debate while dining on Undecider Sliders and sipping an On The Fence martini. While seasoned campaigners know that true election eats more closely resemble donuts, cold pizza, and stale beer, you members of the Washington elite may toast your status with a Blue Donkey or Red Elephant.
Ice Creampocalypse: Day 2
Although we at DCist have no affiliation with any plastic surgeons' association, we can't help but bring news of today's annual 31-cent Scoop Night at Baskin-Robbins, tonight from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. In cooperation with the National Fallen Firefighters Fund, The BR will once again shell out 2.5 oz. scoops of any flavor for anyone with three dimes and a penny. Note: there is a 10 scoop limit per person per purchase.
