Cleveland Park Email List purveyor Bill Adler likes to send out April Fool's jokes to his subscribers. Last year, it was the fictional escape of a "Loof Lirpa" from the National Zoo. The year before that, there was the big announcement that a developer was planning on bringing a Pet Hotel to Cleveland Park.

A flurry of frantic, angry emails began around 6 p.m. last night on the Cleveland Park Listserve and moved seemingly all over town by 8 p.m. It was the end of civilization as we know it! The green-ness of the station comes mainly from environmental news pieces that the DJs read about things like solar power, renewable energy, and the use of cow dung for flooring. Their Web site also notes the station's transmitter is run on renewable energy and they have a lot of links for various ways to do good stuff for the planet.

Driving down I-81 in central Virginia earlier this year, we heard something we haven't heard in awhile: a radio station playing good music.
