DCist Music Editor Amanda Mattos snapped some photos of the various 'I Voted' stickers represented in her office. D.C.'s sticker seems kinda lame compared to most of the rest of these, doesn't it? And don't forget to take advantage of the many freebies available around town today if you're wearing an 'I Voted' sticker.

The Washington Area Bicyclist Association and the District Department of Transportation will be handing out free bike lights to cyclists again tonight, just like they did last year. The giveaway is part of the “Got Lights?” bicycle safety and education campaign that coincides with the time of year when it begins to get darker out much earlier.

Clearly we're starting to run out of hyperbolic words to describe these giveaways that seem to happen every other week, so today, we'll just give you the details: Chop't is doing a salad giveaway at their new 19th and L St. location (1105 1/2 19th Street NW) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's the same kind of promotion the company always does when it opens a new store, and if you've been to previous openings, you know that the lines can get long. Given that this location is quite close to the middle of downtown, plan to get there early if you want that free salad.

7-Eleven's National Slurpee Day always seems to fall on the perfect day. Whether you're cooling down from the heat - or, in my case, in need of something cold to numb a pair of extracted wisdom teeth - celebrate 7-Eleven's 81st birthday with a free 7.11 oz. cup of your favorite Slurpee flavor. Also new this month is Black Ice, a black colored Slurpee/Monster energy drink blend. Though if you try it, prepare to walk around all day receiving significant glances due to dark colored lips and tongue.

Two floods, two ruined wooden floors and a broken AC compressor later, Dolcezza's second location in Bethesda Row finally opened two weeks ago. Now that the shop has had a little time to perfect serving their Argentinean-style gelato - in addition to churning out 300 lbs of various flavors, all from locally sourced ingredients - they'll be throwing a grand opening fiesta tonight from 6 - 11 p.m. They expect "mass gelato pandemonium" as they give away all 300 lbs of the frozen treat. Although it may be a bit out the way, we recommend getting there early to secure a cup before it all runs out.

For those of you expecting another Ice Creampocalypse, I'm sorry to disappoint. But if you're already out getting a free frozen yogurt from Tangysweet in Dupont, you may as well swing by the Krispy Kreme nearby for a free doughtnut in celebration of National Doughnut Day. Something not that bad for you, something really bad for you, it evens out, right?

Technically, today isn't a true ice cream giveaway. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Dunkin' Donuts is giving away 16 oz. cups of their regular or new "Berry Berry-flavored" iced coffee. And, as with any promotional giveaway these days, a donation of $5000 will be made, this time to the Washington D.C. Police Athletic League for its youth leadership program.

According to Häagen-Dazs, today's ice creampocalypse may, in fact, help avert a real apocalypse: the collapse of certain crops worldwide. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., participating HD shops will be giving away 4 oz. scoops of their newest flavor, Vanilla Honey Bee. Today's freebie is meant to raise awareness about the massive die-off of honey bees, which are responsible for the ingredients used in 40 percent of HD's flavors. In addition, when you buy a pint of Vanilla Honey Bee or other "honey bee-dependent flavors," HD will help support research to save the bees.

Although we at DCist have no affiliation with any plastic surgeons' association, we can't help but bring news of today's annual 31-cent Scoop Night at Baskin-Robbins, tonight from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. In cooperation with the National Fallen Firefighters Fund, The BR will once again shell out 2.5 oz. scoops of any flavor for anyone with three dimes and a penny. Note: there is a 10 scoop limit per person per purchase.

Another day, another dollar. Another year, another free cone day. In celebration of their 30th anniversary - despite the fact that the giveaway occurs every year - Ben and Jerry's is offering one free scoop of ice cream to customers between noon and 8 p.m.

Madness” is in the air, Google’s homepage has flowers, and the first of summer treat giveaways has begun – it must be spring. In its 16th annual celebration of the first day of spring, Rita’s ItalianWater Ice is giving away free 10 oz. cups of Italian ice all day today.

Ubiquitous shopping mall staple Auntie Anne’s is celebrating its 20th birthday by hosting a “Free Pretzel Day” Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at stores nationwide. Blow your New Year's dieting resolution with your choice of an original or cinnamon sugar pretzel. Maybe next year they’ll give away tequila shots for their 21st anniversary.
