Reduced Transit, No Trash Pickup, Free Parking On Veterans Day

Veterans Day -- yet another one of those holidays where many non-federal employees still have to show up to the office -- is tomorrow, and just like Columbus Day, Metro and other local transit agencies will be operating on modified schedules. Metrorail will operate on a Saturday schedule, though the system will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight, as it would on a weekday. Metro Schedule for the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend

WMATA has posted the holiday transit schedules for D.C.'s transit system, along with the nearby suburban systems. Note that on Monday, Memorial Day, Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess will all operate on a Sunday schedule, with the Metrorail system open from 7 a.m. to midnight.
